Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) investing is used to screen investments based on corporate policies and to encourage companies to act responsibly. ESG is an opportunity for founders to make their business better. Applying an ESG framework to very early-stage businesses can be difficult so we will do our best to work backwards and discuss stage-appropriate goals.
